  2. This article resonates so deeply. I want to say that before the pandemic and lockdowns I took nature and outside for granted especially living in Hawaii. Then the pandemic happened and we had rules here like “No butts on the beach!” and they literally told us to hike and swim alone to stay safe! I mean our whole lives we were told never go hiking or swimming alone because it is not safe and then we were told the opposite. I stayed in the house almost all the time. I was sad and just struggled daily to find joy. As soon as things started lifting it took me a while to go back outside again and enjoy it but finally that was what helped me heal was just going outside and being back in nature. It recharged my energy like nothing else could. I think that people really need to schedule time in their calendars every week to spend some time in nature as it is so healing. What a great article! Thank you for sharing something so simple and free that can heal us mind, body and spirit.
